Fretboard Exercises

Exercise #1

In this exercise, you will be asked to play a note on a specific string. Select the corret fret and submit your answer.

Start the Game: Click the Start Game button to receive your first prompt (e.g., "On the A string: play the C note").
Find the Note: By default, your target string will be highlighted in yellow. Click anywhere on the fretboard where you think the requested note is located. Your selection will be marked with a white dotted circle.
Check Your Answer: Click Submit Answer to see how you did. If you are correct, the text will turn green. If incorrect, the text will turn red and the game will reveal the correct note's location on the fretboard. Click Next Question to keep going!
Customize Your Practice: Use the settings bar at the top to adjust the game to your skill level:
- Auto Submit: Check this box to speed up your practice. The game will instantly check your answer the moment you click the fretboard, bypassing the "Submit Answer" button.
- Hard Mode: Check this box to remove the yellow string highlight and hide visual labels, forcing you to rely entirely on your fretboard memory.
Reset: Use the Reset Game button at any time to clear your score and start a new session.
